Guadalupe Salgado was born in Mexico City in 1991. She studied Plastic and Visual Arts at the Benito Juárez Autonomous University of Oaxaca with a specialty in Painting.

In 2014-15 she obtained the Young Creators scholarship from the National Art and Culture Fund (FONCA) in the photography category.

She participated in the National Meeting of Young Art of Aguascalientes (2015-2022) and in the 3rd Meeting of Plastic Arts of Tabasco in 2016. She has done artistic residences in No Lugar, Quito (2016), in Residencia Art Project in Playa del Carmen, Mexico (2021) and Atelier Mondial, France-Switzerland (2023)

Her work has been exhibited in Mexico, NY, France, Switzerland, Quito and Italy

She is represented by the guadalajara90210 gallery

She currently directs Estudio Abierto, an Artistic Residency space for contemporary artistic production and research in Oaxaca.
